It looks like Bronny James has a clear plan ahead as he has just declared for the 2024 NBA draft. This comes after one season with the college team USC. Along with declaring, he has also made the decision to enter into the transfer portal.
James announced the news via Instagram where he thanked USC for his time there and others that he has engaged with during his time there.
“I’ve had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student, and athlete. I’ve made the decision to enter the NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility, and will also be entering the NCAA transfer portal,” he wrote on the statement.
It continues, “Thank you to USC for an amazing Freshman year, as always thankful for my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers and fans for their support.”
His father, LeBron James commented on Bronny’s decision where he shared nothing but support, saying,
“Bronny is his own man. He has some tough decisions to make. When he’s ready to make those decisions, he’ll let us all know. But as his family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”
The NBA Draft will take place this year during June 26 and June 27.
