It looks like actor Jonathan Majors will be avoiding jail time as he has just been sentenced to probation. The stipulations behind his probation includes a year of in-person counseling program along with a $250 fine.
Previously, he faced 1 year of jail time, but he is expected to not be arrested at any point during his probation, nor possess, apply for or own a firearm or he will be forced to serve the jail time. Just last week, his lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the conviction, but it had been denied by a Manhattan judge.
Grace Jabbari made a statement in court before leaving before the sentencing, but Majors did not speak himself, but his attorney Priya Chaudhry spoke on his behalf where she said that this time has “been the most challenging year of Jonathan Majors’ life” adding that Majors “accepts this painful experience” to “emerge stronger, healthier and with a deeper understanding of himself.”
