It looks like Bronx rapper Ice Spice has just been hit with a lawsuit over her 2023 single, “In Ha Mood.” According to TMZ, Ice Spice, real name Isis is being sued by D.Chamberz who is suing for copyright infringement as he says that he wrote, recorded and released a song called “In That Mood” in 2022.
The lawsuit stated that he released his single in January 2022 where he alleges that Ice Spice’s producer, Riot heard the single and copied the song in it’s entirety. He also stated that he has performed at many New York venues performing that song around the same area that the rapper and producer lives along with airplay on Hot 97.
Today, “In Ha Mood” has went gold along with amassing over 45 million views on YouTube. D.Chamberz is seeking damages along with 50% of publishing of the song. Ice Spice and her team has yet to respond to the claims.
