Judge Denies Kevin Hart’s Restraining Order Request Against Tasha K

Comedian Kevin Hart had recently filed a lawsuit against blogger Tasha K back in December as he claimed that she had extorted him. According to the lawsuit, he stated that Tasha K and her team had threatened to released a full interview of her and his ex-assistant, Miesha Shakes where she spilled a lot of his business and personal life out with the blogger, if he didn’t pay $250,000.

This month, however, Hart filed for a temporary restraining order where he states in his filing:

“Working in the entertainment industry, my livelihood depends in large part on my reputation and the public’s perception of me. That perception is of particular concern in light of the fact that I am involved in a number of family-oriented projects, such as the Jumanji franchise, FatherhoodCaptain UnderpantsThe Secret Life of Pets, and others.”

His request had been denied by Judge Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff due to Hart’s “lack of important details.” Beckloff further explained his reasoning stating: “Part of the problem I have is that there are no direct quotes of what occurred in the hour-and-a-half interview just a really vague, over-broad request that doesn’t address actual malice.”
