76ers player Kelly Oubre Jr had been recently involved in a car accident where it was reported that he was hit as he was walking near his Philadelphia home. He has reportedly obtained broken ribs, along with bruises and cuts, but is said to be in stable condition.
The 76ers had released a statement regarding Oubre’s accident:
“Kelly Oubre Jr. was a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle tonight in Center City, Philadelphia. He is currently in stable condition and being treated at a local hospital. We will share more information as it becomes available. Please join us in sending our best to Kelly and his family as he recovers from the incident.”
He has since been released from the hospital and is at home healing. Kelly Oubre joined the 76ers this year after playing three seasons with the Charlotte Hornets along with playing for the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.
He is expected to return before the end of the season.
