Boosie passionately went live on Instagram to discuss the burning topic of black women in the entertainment industry and getting their due pay grade. Speaking on Taraji or “Tahara Penson” as Boosie said, he expresses how everyone owed entertainer Mo’Nique an apology after she voiced the same issues years ago but was met with silence and no support for many people.
“Mo’Nique been telling y’all black women are being underpaid, ” he said. “When ‘Cookie (Henson’s name in Empire) started sayin’ it now everybody jumpin’ on the bandwagon. It’s starting to be a reality. Mo’Nique been told y’all.”
He continued, “They paid Brad Pitt $25 million and gave her $150K. But when people start opening their mouth up, it becomes reality. […] Power comes in numbers.”
This all has came to be a huge discussion online as Taraji has recently opened up about her underpaid salary during her press tour for her latest movie, The Color Purple.
