Producer ATL Jacob recently spoke of the process behind the Grammy winning record, “Wait For U” by Drake and Future that contains a feature from Nigerian singer Tems’ record, “Higher.” Speaking on The Baller Alert show, he details how Future asked Drake to speak to Tems in order to get the song’s sample cleared.
After catching wind of the story, Tems took to twitter to deny his side of the story.
I gave my side of the story about me creating a HIT song after being INSPIRED by the song i sampled .. someone reacting so Negatively to a subject that meant no harm SHOWS A LOT
Out of all the good shit i said about you @temsbaby over the years this the only reaction i get?— ATLJACOB (@atljacobbeatz) January 18, 2024
