It appears that singer Cassie and ex Diddy have decided to settle outside of court just a day after the explosive news had been dropped of her filing a lawsuit against Diddy with her dropping claims of being sexually assaulted, sex trafficked, and enduring physical abuse during the course of their relationship. Cassie originally sought 30 million initially from the lawsuit, though it is unknown how much she has actually acquired.
Both individuals have released a statement regarding the settlement.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.” Ventura said in the statement.
“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.” Diddy said in his own statement. Catching more heat from the public, Diddy released another statement via his attorney Ben Brafman that clarifies his stance in the situation.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.” the statement read.
