Congratulations to mogul Magic Johnson as he has officially became a billionaire. His new billionaire status marks him as the 4th athlete to become a billionaire with the list consisting of Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Tiger Woods making the rest of the list.
According to Forbes, Johnson made $40 million during his time in the NBA. He later ventured into investing where he has invested in the Los Angeles Lakers along with Starbucks where in 2010 he sold locations back to Starbucks reportedly for $75 million.
His Lakers stake is also reportedly worth over $265 million today. He also has his Magic Johnson Theaters where he partnered with Sony Pictures early on.
Johnson further invested into companies such as Los Angeles Dodgers, Simply Healthcare, NFL’s Washington Commanders, WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks, and MLS’s LAFC that has equated to him bringing well over a net worth of over $1.2 billion.
