Carlee Russell has just been recently found guilty after she made a false call of her claiming to be kidnapped on July 13. She had been charged with two misdemeanors of false reporting to law enforcement and falsely reporting an incident.
Appearing in Hoover court Wednesday, Russell plead not guilty, but unfortunately for her, Judge Thomas Brad Bishop found her guilty of both charges. She currently faces up to 1 year in prison along with $18,000 in restitution fees.
Her attorney, Emory Anthony states that they have plans to appeal the case in front of a new jury.
