Just recently, it had been revealed that within Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney had mentioned that during her relationship with pop star Justin Timberlake, she had gotten pregnant which resulted in an abortion. She explained that Justin was not ready to be a father that early on in life due to them only being 19 and how their labels influenced them to keep silent of certain aspects of their relationship.
She also noted of how she and him were engaged at one point, but their label did not want the public to know of the news. With these new revelations, some fans had gotten upset as they expressed that the singer should have kept it behind her.
She went on social media to explain that her book wasn’t put out to “offend anyone” and how it has given her closure.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Spears shared what the book will mean for her and her life experiences.
“Over the past 15 years or even at the start of my career, I sat back while people spoke about me and told my story for me. After getting out of my conservatorship, I was finally free to tell my story without consequences from the people in charge of my life.” she expressed.
The Woman in Me will be released this October 24.
