Congratulations to Katy Perry as she is the latest celebrity to sells her music catalog. According to multiple sources, she sold her music rights to Litmus Music for $225 million. The deal includes her master recordings and publishing rights stakes for her five albums One of the Boys (2008), Teenage Dream (2010), Prism (2013), Witness (2017) , and Smile (2020).
Co-founder / CEO Hank Forsyth made a statement in regards to the acquisition where he says: “Katy’s songs are an essential part of the global cultural fabric. We are so grateful to be working together again with such a trusted partner whose integrity shines in everything that she does.”
As of now, Katy Perry has taken a step back from music to focus on her Vegas residency, family with Orlando Bloom and her philanthropy work.
