Hall of Fame star Dwyane Wade is no stranger to transparency and has recently opened up to part of his life where he shares the time where he had been unfaithful to his now wife, Gabrielle Union. Speaking with Shannon Sharpe, on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he spoke of the time where he had cheated on the actress and also fathered another son in the process.
“I tried to pussyfoot around it, I tried to break up with her, ‘Hey, things have been bad lately,’ ‘Hey, we’ve been having a little distance in our relationship anyway,’ I tried all of that. She kept showing up.”
He also spoke on the importance of him revealing to her the impending child he had on the way, saying:
“You’re thinking about it all, it’s all scary. One, the whole situation is scary enough, you’re a public figure. But you know that this is going to hurt someone that you’ve been building a relationship with and a life with.” Wade said.
He continued, “No matter what people say on the outside, or what people want to think, ultimately you gotta sit with you, and you gotta sit with this person, and I had to sit with my wife and have this conversation.”
The two have now been married for 10 years and have welcomed their daughter, Kaavia, via surrogacy in 2018.
