Lil Tay Speaks Out On Reports Of Her Death

After a message had been reported on child rapper, Lil Tay’s Instagram page that she had died, and the circumstances around her supposed death were not said, it appears that Lil Tay has not died. In the message posted Wednesday, to her account it was revealed that she and her brother, Jason Tian had passed away but it appears neither are dead and have released a statement to say that they are alive and that her account was hacked.

Lil Tay, who is now 14-years-old, has made a statement to TMZ to address the situation where she says that she and her brother are “safe and alive”. The statement reads:

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.”

It continues: “My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope.'”

Lil Tay garnered a lot of attention back in 2018 as she was a self-proclaimed “youngest flexer of the century” and collaborated on videos with some artists such as xxxtentacion and Chief Keef.
