Congratulations to Beyoncé as she has just received her own day in Atlanta. This comes as she is currently touring around the globe for her Renaissance tour and recently had a couple stops in Atlanta.
The Atlanta City Council has given the star her own day officially recognized on August 11. The council released a statement where they said:
“The Atlanta City Council is honored to recognize BeyoncĂ© Giselle Knowles-Carter, a highly acclaimed and revered singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman, whose extraordinary contributions to the realms of music, entertainment, and philanthropy have made her one of the influential cultural figures of the 21st century.”
The statement continues: “As an accomplished singer, songwriter, and producer, BeyoncĂ© has continuously pushed the boundaries of creativity, using her art to tell stories that resonate with diverse audiences and advocate for social change, and her groundbreaking performances and unapologetic celebration of her heritage have inspired millions to embrace their individuality and embrace their roots with pride.”
Within her stop in Atlanta, Bey declared that Atlanta had won the “Everybody On Mute” challenge as the concert-goers had participated flawlessly to “go mute” during the specific time period.
