Will Smith Speaks Of His New Film ‘Emancipation’

Will Smith has released his latest film entitled Emancipation, where he has recently spoke up of what viewers can expect from it. The film is centered around a slave named Peter that escapes from the devastating conditions of being enslaved in the south where he joins a union army.

Speaking with Fox’s Kevin McCarthy, he shares that from his past actions this year at this year’s Oscars, he “understands if people are not ready to watch it.”

“I completely understand that if someone is not ready, I would absolutely respect that and allow them their space to not be ready. My deepest concern is my team has done what I think is the greatest work of his entire career.”

In regards to the films audience, he shares that he hopes that it “opens their hearts” to see the talent from those who were involved of the making of the film. “At this point, that’s what I’m working for, that’s what I’m hoping for . I’m hoping that the material, the power of the film, the timeliness of the story, I’m hoping that the good that can be done would open people’s hearts at a minimum to see and recognize and support the incredible artists in and around this film.”

The film has not yet been released, but will be in theaters on December 2 and launching on the Apple TV+ streaming app December 9th.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Dominates Box Office Opening Weekend With $181 Million

The sequel film to Black Panther, has had a successful weekend as the movie has grossed a sum of $181 million in box office sales for opening weekend. This has beat out the film Hunger Games: Catching Fire‘s opening of $158 million in 2013 and it has made the highest November debut in history.

Overall, the film has garnered $331 million worldwide and is now considered to be the number one movie. The film so far marks the second largest opening weekend of 2022 as it runs behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by $6 million.

The film has been proven to be an overall success and has paid tribute to the late actor, Chadwick Boseman.

Snoop Dogg Biopic In The Works

It looks like Long Beach native, Snoop Dogg’s life story will be told in an upcoming biopic that is coming soon. The project is currently untitled but it will be produced under the Universal umbrella with Death Row over production and will hit the theaters.

The film has Allen Hughes under its belt as the director as he has previously directed films such as Menace II Society, The Book of Eli, Dead Presidents and the tv show, Dear Mama and Joe Robert Cole who will have a helping hand in the screenplay. The film will include and showcase Snoop’s iconic music in his career and

In a statement, Snoop Dogg has spoken of the upcoming film where he says “I waited a long time to put this project together because I wanted to choose the right director, the perfect writer and the greatest movie company I could partner with that could understand the legacy that I’m trying to portray on screen, and the memory I’m trying to leave behind.It was the perfect marriage. It was holy matrimony, not holy macaroni.”

 Snoop’s debut began in 1992 when he was featured on Dr. Dre’s debut single, “Deep Cover”, and later on Dre’s first album, The Chronic. In his career he has won an Emmy, sold 35-million albums and has a total of 17 Grammy nominations.

The ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Soundtrack Has Released

Ahead of the film releasing next week on Friday, November 11th, the soundtrack for the film is finally here and does not disappoint. The album is produced by  Ryan Coogler, composer Ludwig Göransson, Dave Jordan, and more major key players that took part in being featured on the project.

Artist such as Rihanna of course, Future, Tems, Burna Boy, Ckay, Fireboy DML, Stormzy, E-40, Snow Tha Product, and more. The soundtrack is led by the first single that had been released by Rihanna titled “Lift Me Up” that is a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman who served as the lead role of T’Challa.

Henry Cavil To Return To DCU As Superman Again

Superman is here to return once again as actor Henry Cavil has made the announcement of the return and confirmed the speculation. The news comes after his cameo in the new film Black Adam as Superman.

He posted to his Instagram account sharing the news, saying:

“I wanted to make it official: I am back as Superman. Thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded. The character means so much to me. It’s been five years now. I never gave up hope. It’s amazing to be here now talking about it again. There is such a bright future ahead for the character. I’m so excited to tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman.” Cavil says in the video.

He also went in further to share how he got the news of returning to the DCU.

“I went to Warner Bros.’ studio in the UK and got back in the suit. It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn’t sure how I would feel…whether it would be something very emotionally connective because I put the ‘Man of Steel’ suit back on. I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit. It was important for me to be standing there and enjoying that moment. That is one of the top moments in my career.
