Lil Baby Receives Humanitarian Award

Lil Baby has recently been honored with the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at Black Music Action Coalition’s second annual Music in Action Awards Gala. The even happened Thursday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

He received the award for his contributions to racial and social justice as he usually has an annual Back to School Fest in Atlanta, that provides school supplies, backpacks and other needed items for over 3,000 children. He has also created a My Turn scholarship program that gives out $150,000 in scholarships to his old high school and has partnered with Lemont Bradley to offer 100 jobs to those in need.

Accepting the award he says:

“I honestly didn’t know what a humanitarian was, but as I looked into it and started reading, I understand that I’m actually humanitarian. I just want to say that I appreciate everybody in here because nothing that we doing or trying to do can be done by one person. It’s gonna take all of us to stick together and stay together.”

He also took to his Instagram page to give out his thanks

Lil Baby has truly been grinding and a very busy man as he has just released his latest single “The World Is Yours to Take” on Friday.

After many different meetings and decisions regarding which artist would be performing for next year, it has all came down to Ms. Bag Gal Riri herself after there were surrounding rumors of Taylor Swift possibly taking on the stage.

More Details Emerge Of Ime Udoka’s Affair With Celtics Staff Member

In the wake of Ime Udoka’s affair being revealed, it looks like things may have went even further than what was known between the two. Udoka and the Celtics employee were intimate along with the employee, who’s identity has been withheld, had been making arrangements for his and his family travels.

She had been heavily involved in planning Udoka’s team-related travel, along with helping Nia with her travels for games and making the big move to Boston permanently. Nia had just moved to Boston two weeks ago with their son they share together Kez.

As of now, Ime Udoka is suspended as head coach for the entire 2022-23 season.

Toya Johnson & T.I. Responds Back To DJ Akademiks Comments Regarding Reginae’s Dating Life

DJ Akademiks has been making headlines lately for his controversial statements he has made lately and now the most recent one has been about rapper Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae. The world has seen Reginae grow from infant to the grown woman she has came to be today and has over time been in two, now three known relationships.

In regards to Dj Akademiks however had a lot to say about her and her dating choices as he has pointed out the fact that she went from dating YFN Lucci, who is currently incarcerated to her now boyfriend, Armon Warren, calling him many different names. He went as far as calling her a “b—-” multiple times.

 “You know these b—-es, let me not call her a b—-, these chicks love a hood n—- until he’s facing 25 to life.” he comments on his twitch stream.

Mama bear Toya Johnson was not here for any of his comments and called him out on her Instagram.

 “@akademiks I can’t stand men that do b—- s—. Keep my daughter name out your mouth. Clout chasing is at an all time high. Let her live her 23 yr old life. Calling her a b—- and all that other s— is not cool.”

T.I. who is considered a close friend and pretty much like family to Lil Wayne and Toya, has also entered the chat and had many words for Akademiks.

“I would love to have a word with Akademiks. I gotta put a call out to him, hopefully we can communicate our way to a positive resolution. But Reginae under the umbrella, she covered. I would love to have a word to see if we can communicate ourselves to a positive resolution. Certain s— is avoidable; not worth the trouble.” he stated in a post on his page.

DDG Responds Back To Backlash Of MLK Comments

In an interview where Pontiac rapper DDG was asked about his take on the negative and racist comments about his girlfriend Halle Bailey taking on the role of Ariel in the live action Little Mermaid, DDG quirkly answered the question by saying that he though Martin Luther King Jr had eliminated racism. It seems the internet had a lot to say about it and he had began receiving backlash where many tried his intelligence.

“I didn’t know people was this racist. I didn’t know this was a thing. I thought this s— was gone already, I thought that s— was gone! I thought Martin Luther King canceled that s— out! This s— is crazy, I was like ‘what the f— is these n—as talking about?’ But at the end of the day, them motherf—-rs are still tapping in. They still gonna watch … It’s going number one regardless. And every single Black person in the world is gonna watch.”

Former The Real talk show host, Amanda Seals had a take on the situation and said that Halle should break up with DDG.

DDG however, has responded to the naysayers to remind everyone of his two time Valedictorian status in school.

Ime Udoka Admits To Having Affair With Celtics Staff Member + Nia Long Addresses Affair

It has been a very interesting week for Celtics head coach, Ime Udoka as he has been under fire after news revealed that he was having an inappropriate relationship with a woman who was also a staff member for the team. The two were in violation of the team’s guidelines.

Owning up to his fault, he gave a statement to ESPN, saying:

“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”

Udoka and Nia Long had been in a relationship since 2010 where they welcomed their son Kez in 2011. They had gotten engaged in 2015. After this news, Udoka has been suspended for the rest of the 2022-2023 season.

Nia Long has made a statement to PEOPLE where she said:

“The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me. I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.”

Surveillance Cameras Show Chaka Zulu Acting Out Of Self Defense

In new footage that has came out via surveillance cameras near the Buckhead plaza that Chaka Zulu had been at during the time of a shooting and fight, it appears that Chaka Zulu has been acting out of self defense. TMZ had obtained the footage of the June incident where it is seen that several men including Artez Benton attacking Zulu.

His lawyers have strongly argued that he is a victim and had been defending himself when he shot Benton. They also state that he was attacked by a group of men that were upset that they could not get VIP parking and a table at in the restaurant.

“Why this escalated to the point that it did, was that part of the story yes. Is it all of the story? I don’t believe so. It’s their job to investigate. He don’t have to do a damn thing. So he has been charged with murder wrongfully.” Attorney Gabe Banks stated in the news conference.

As of now, there has yet been a decision regarding what will happen with Zulu.

Kanye West Apologizes To Kim Kardashian For Co-Parenting Issues

In an interview with Good Morning America, Kanye West has spoken to Linsey Davis where he discussed his relationship with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

“This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger, but also, ain’t nobody else needs to be causing no stress either. I need this person to be least stressed and at best sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.” he expresses.

He also further shares that he had to have “a voice while co-parenting and fight for it.”

“That hurts you when you have to like, scream about what your kids are wearing,” Ye said. He further elaborated that his personal life was seeming to become a parallel with what was going on in his business life.

“It’s those little nuances where there is a parallel in what was happening at Gap, what was happening at Adidas and what was happening at my home. It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the children. I co-created the product at Adidas. I co-created the product at Gap. It’s a parallel and the parallel does touch on discrimination.”

Along with apologizing to Kim, he had admitted his fault in his 2012 interview with radio host Sway.

“I will go ahead and say, Sway had the answer. People are gonna be like, ‘No!” he stated.

Khloe Kardashian Shares First Glimpse Of Baby Boy In Season 2 Premiere of ‘The Kardashians’

For the premiere of season 2 for The Kardashians on Hulu, Khloe Kardashian has shared the precious moment of her new baby boy’s birth and also gotten candid on the drama behind the process. Both she and Tristan welcomed baby number 2 via surrogate, and this came at a shock as the world had found out that Tristan had been unfaithful yet again and created a child out of the affair.

In a confessional, Khloe shared of how happy she was but how she has felt since finding out the news from December.

“I am so grateful. It’s such a beautiful gift that we’re able to have.” she expressed.

She continues: “Ever since December, it’s been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I’ve been feeling depressed and sad, and now that my son is here, I get to move on, and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me.”

“Now I finally get to start the healing process. Now I get to start enjoying my life with two kids in it and figuring this out. This is gonna be day one, and this is gonna be the start of something positive, and happy and beautiful.”

Even though Tristan and Khloe were in a bad place with each other, Khloe still allowed him to come to the hospital and spend time with their new baby though she had heavily debated on letting him. In the confessional, she reveals that Tristan had knew prior that he had gotten Maralee Nichols pregnant and knew as they were going through the process of surrogacy.

As for now, the parents are keeping their baby boy’s name private, but says that his name will begin with the letter ‘T’ like his big sister True.

LL Cool J Responds Back To DJ Akademiks Comments About Hip Hop Pioneers

During one of Akademiks’ live streams on Twitch, he was heard speaking on Hip Hop Pioneers and sharing his opinion on them and called most of them “dusty” due to there networth and how much money they are pulling in lately.

“Them old rappers, man. Have you seen any of these old rappers who be like ‘yo they’re the foundation of Hip Hop really living good? Them n—as be looking dusty, I kid you not. And none of y’all try to come for me, cause I don’t f— with y’all n—as either so I’m just telling y’all the truth. Every time there be like an old old n—-s talking about hip hop you be like ‘Yo bro, you sure you invented this?””

Well New York native LL Cool J was not here for his comments and has taken to his Instagram to respond to Akademiks.

“Let me explain something to you, don’t think just because somebody knows how to get money or fails to get money that they didn’t make a contribution to the culture. No one discusses Miles Davis’ bank account. We don’t talk about John Coltrane’s bank account. A lot of even rock musicians … a lot of great country artists, we don’t talk about their bank accounts.” LL states in the video.

He continues: “Approach this game with humility and be glad and be thankful that these pioneers helped create this culture. And let’s show them love, let’s elevate them, let’s celebrate them … There are people that started this thing, and I think that they deserve to be honored and respected.”
