Quavo & Offset Reunite On Stage For Takeoff Tribute For BET Awards

Quavo and Offset have came together for the BET Awards in what became a huge moment for hip hop and the show itself as the honor their fellow family and group member, Takeoff. The two opened with the song “Hotel Lobby” from the Unc & Phew collaborative album. They also song their hit song “Bad & Boujee” all while Takeoff’s picture never left the stage as they performed along with a rocket on full display at the opening of the performance.

Offset came onto social media to share of how much their reunion on stage “cleared his soul.”

“I love all my fans. I love of y’all. We did the BET performance, man. It was iconic, man. It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, man, we put that together within, like, 16 hours​​​​​​​, like, 15 hours…We do that ’cause we’re some real stars. We do this music.” he explained as he revealed that he and Quavo put together the show within a 16-hour span.

he continued, “We the greatest group to ever touch the mic. RIP my brother, Take. We did it for my brother Take. Me and Qua stood tall, brother to brother. And I appreciate everybody for supporting. It was a movie, it was a vibe. We needed that for the culture. And yeah, that’s how we comin’.”

He shared his thought process even further within creating the performance where he says, “We did that in 16 hours like real professionals. When you put the three heads together It’s always gon’ be cinematic. It always gon’ be the truth. It’s always gon’ be godly.”
