Gunna is definitely urging for his release as the rapper has filed for a third motion to receive bond. In court documents from September 26th it stated that Gunna’s legal team reasoning behind another hearing on bond was quite laid out; Georgia prosecutors have failed to show evidence in support that Gunna should remain behind bars.
The rapper had also been dropped from any violent acts in the original indictment along with his name not being mentioned by any witness.
“The State has presented no evidence to support its claims of dangerousness and has dismissed the only serious overt act that was present when the first bond hearing was held,” Gunna’s legal team argued. They also stated that they have “failed to verify a single instance in which one single person has actually made an accusation that Kitchens has threatened anybody.”
They also state “The prosecution has been afforded ample time to develop evidence to support its motion to detain Kitchens. It has not succeeded,” his legal team argued further.
If he is denied, he may have to remain in jail until the January 2023 trial.Follow Us
