Cardi B went to court on Thursday where she had pleaded guilty in her involvement of the bar brawl that took place in 2018. During the time of the incident, it had been reported that Cardi had thrown chairs, bottles, and hookahs at two female bartenders.
The incident occurred when it was alleged that her husband Offset had been allegedly having an affair with one of the ladies and one of them accused the Bronx rapper of ordering a attack on them. Cardi appeared in Queens Supreme Court where she ultimately accepted a plea deal that consisted of 15 days of community service and a 3 year protection for the two bartenders involved.
“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — the music and my fans.” she said to People in a statement.
After leaving court Cardi posted of her fate on Instagram captioning the post:
“Everyday the sun won’t shine, but that’s why I love tomorrow”
