Amanda Bynes Files To End Her Conservatorship

Actress Amanda Bynes is filing a motion to end her nearly 10-year conservatorship after stating that she is feeling well and justifying that her condition has improved.

This comes after Britney Spears has been released from her Conservatorship 15 years later as she was being mistreated, in Amanda’s case she was placed in it due to her mental breakdown in 2013 after setting a driveway on fire and being placed in an involuntary psychiatric hold; which ultimately led to her mother, Lynn Organ being granted temporary conservatorship and then gained full conservatorship in 2014.

A judge initially signed off that Bynes would be on Conservatorship until 2023, meanwhile she has graduated and gotten a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, while pursuing a bachelors degree.

“Ms. Bynes contends her condition has improved, and protection of the court is no longer necessary,” her attorney, David A. Esquibias, wrote.

There will be a hearing regarding the situation on March 22 in Oxnard, Calif.
